Long before Angelic Dreamz lived inside a computer screen, it lived inside a 19th-century New York City firehouse. From 2004 to 2021, that brick-and-mortar sanctuary was where whimsy wore couture and imagination was treated like a luxury good. The shop closed its doors, but the dream never dimmed. It simply waited for the right moment to return.
Because beauty is everywhere.
That belief has been the through-line of George and Tim’s entire careers. It started in the buying offices of Federated Department Stores, where a young George learned that the difference between a product and a treasure is the story it tells. From there, he moved into design and product development, shaping collections for Nu-D-Zine bedding and bath, then Bonne Nuit bedding, and later as an Izod Home Designer. Tim’s years in retail and displays have always shaped the way they present goods: over 30 years in retail sales and display, including department stores, gave him deep insight into composition, and his taste is highly refined. Year after year, they learned how to translate a feeling into fabric, a mood into merchandise, and a sketch into something that could live on someone’s bed, wall, or shoulder. George and Tim have traveled together for 45 years, experiencing the best in every culture and reinterpreting it into their own language of beauty.
But corporate design was only half the dream. In 2004, George and Tim opened the original Angelic Dreamz boutique in NY, a shop as theatrical as it was curated, where collectors and dreamers found things they didn’t know they were looking for. The boutique eventually evolved into JAMIEshow, a chapter devoted to the world of artful dolls and collectible fashion. For nearly two decades, that firehouse hummed with creativity, shipping beauty to every corner of the globe.
Now, the circle is complete. George and Tim have returned to Angelic Dreamz – older, wiser, and more insatiably curious than ever. Based in Chicago, they are creating again: original artwork, curated into choice products, and brought to life for you. From vintage-inspired greeting cards and statement totes to bold home goods and one-of-a-kind accessories, every piece in this shop begins as a drawing, a painting, or a digital dream before it ever becomes a product.
This is not mass production. This is a point of view. A poodle in a tuxedo. A flapper on a shower curtain. A brooch that belongs in a Paris hotel. If it makes you smile, gasp, or do a double-take, it belongs here.
George is a Parsons School of Design graduate (Class of 1985), a Cuban-born traveler who has set foot on every continent but one, and an artist who still believes the best lighting is the kind that makes ordinary things look extraordinary.
Thank you for being here. The best chapters are still being written.
Stay dreamy.
