Biography: Kahlo’s marriage to Diego Rivera was famously turbulent, but she also had significant relationships with women, including photographer Nickolas Muray and artist Jacqueline Lamba. Her self-portraits blended personal
mythology, physical pain, and Mexican folk tradition into an autobiographical art form that has made her one of the most recognized artists in the world. Her bisexuality was as much a part of her identity as her Mexicanidad.
