Two sisters of the spotlight take the floor every evening at eight.
The ballroom has two stars and neither has ever once been early. One sings, mostly to herself, in a magenta gown with gold lace and butterflies; the other waltzes, mostly into people, wearing crimson taffeta and a plume arrangement visible from the balcony. The pedestal is marble. The audience is adoring. The performance, as always, is everything.
Bath time becomes the gala. Towels are the encore. Applause is welcome at any water temperature.
Beauty is everywhere. Even during the intermission.
