UNIVERSE OF MONSTERS
FRANKENSTEIN
Frankenstein (1931) – the Monster on premium ready-to-hang canvas, from the UNIVERSE OF MONSTERS collection.
Frankenstein (1931). Flat brow, neck bolts, hands reaching for a light he was never given. Karloff needed no words and no color – just silhouette, and here that silhouette is cut in fine black hatching on aged cream paper, sad and enormous at once.
He belongs over the home theater sofa, where the surround sound rumbles, or in a hallway where guests meet him the way the villagers did: gradually, then all at once. The perfect gift for anyone who has ever rooted for the monster.
