Every great house needs one piece that looks like it owns the building. The Silver Aegis is that piece: a cobalt-and-white eye set against black, armored in silver rays and chevrons, warmed by a single gold accent like a pocket square. It does not watch over the room so much as preside over it.
Black and silver is modern deco at its most cinematic, and this plate belongs in the most cinematic room you have: the bar corner, the moody dining room, the hallway with the good sconces. Against black walls it nearly disappears into pure silhouette and gold light; against white it turns into graphic art.
